Ventnor Preschool

Pre School kids

Ventnor Preschool’s mission is to provide a comprehensive early childhood education program that meets the individual needs and interests of each child from their physical growth to their cognitive development. We believe in creating a strong foundation of respect, kindness, and empathy where each school-age child can reach their full potential. We strive to create a supportive environment and enriching learning experience where all children are valued, respected, and celebrated.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a holistic and engaging learning experience for our students.

Here are some key aspects of our approach:

  1. Play-Based Learning: We believe that play is a child’s natural way of exploring the world. Our curriculum integrates play-based activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and social skills.
  2. Language and Literacy: We foster language development through storytelling, rhymes, and exposure to a rich vocabulary. Children engage in reading, writing, and communication activities.
  3. Math and Science: Early math concepts are introduced through hands-on experiences. Children explore patterns, shapes, numbers, and basic scientific principles.
  4. Social and Emotional Development: We emphasize empathy, self-awareness, and positive relationships. Children learn to express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and work collaboratively.
  5. Art and Creativity: Creative expression is encouraged through art, music, and movement. Children explore various mediums, develop fine motor skills, and express their imagination.
  6. Physical Development: Gross motor skills are honed through outdoor play, games, and physical activities. Fine motor skills are developed through crafts, puzzles, and manipulative play.
  7. Cultural Awareness: We celebrate diversity by introducing children to different cultures, traditions, and celebrations. Respect for others and global awareness are integral parts of our curriculum.
  8. Field Trips, Exploration and Guest Speakers: We organize age-appropriate field trips (both in and outside of our building) to enhance learning beyond the classroom. Children explore with members of our community to connect with the world around them and to expand our units of study.
